Dial A Ride Transportation System
  Overview

NILES DIAL A RIDE TRANSPORTATION

Regional Reduced Fare Card Program

Dear Niles Dial-A-Ride Customers:

Evan SmithI am writing to announce a new and exciting improvement being made to public transit in southwestern Michigan, the Regional Reduced Fare Card (RRFC) Program. This program is designed to provide people in Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties with a quick and easy way to receive a reduced fare on public transit products and services. This project kicks off on November 1st, 2011 when transit agencies will start handing out applications and issuing cards.

As many of you know, Niles Dial-A-Ride has had a reduced fare card program for quite some time. However, in order for the RRFC program to work effectively, all area transit agencies will need to discontinue use of their own separate reduced fare cards and move toward only accepting RRFC’s. With that being said, starting on February  1st, 2012 Niles Dial-A-Ride will stop accepting the old “Dial-A-Ride Reduced Fare Cards” and only accept the RRFC. This gives our customers 3 months to obtain and begin using the RRFC.

We are doing everything we can to make this transition as smooth as possible. If you currently have a Dial-A-Ride Reduced Fare Card due to a disability, we likely have the SSD or Medicare paperwork for you on file. I would encourage you to call in to our office and ask for me and I will check and make sure we have your paperwork. If we do, we will simply need you to fill out basic information on the application and see a picture ID.

Below is all the information regarding the RRFC.  Click to complete or print the application.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call at (269) 684-5150 or email me at esmith@nilesmi.org. We are committed to making this transition as quick and simple as possible for you.  Thank you for your business and we hope to hear from you soon!
